Single Line Gap Optimizers are available in VFD and Servo driven models. VFD models are effective at low to medium rates to 140 CPM. Servos excel at higher rates and speeds 120 - 240 and beyond. The Servo delivers precision accel/decel ramp control at higher speeds contributing to superior gap accuracy. A Gap Optimizer consists of a brake belt section mechanically coupled to a correction or meter belt.

Application

The Gap Optimizer is used to separate or pull a measured gap between loads. The Gap optimizer is comprised of two belts. The first belt acts as a brake and the second belt, which runs at a faster speed pulls the gap. This maintains a constant space between loads and is used prior to sortation equipment to read the loads identification and provides for proper sortation.
