These applications may also have product characteristics that mandate non-hi-speed environments. Dematic Systems' group of low speed orters consists of Pushers, Pullers, Line Flow Diverters, Powered Pop-Up Right Angle Transfers, and Powered Pop-Up Steerable Wheel Diverters. Like Dematic Systems' medium and hi-speed sorters, these designs are robust and modular.

Low Rate Sorting Conveyor Applications

Pushers, Pullers, and Powered Pop-Up Right Angle Transfers are ideal for manufacturing and distribution applications with tight space considerations. These devices offer flexible placement and independent operation and as such can be configured for stand-alone or multi-lane sort applications. They engage oncoming product and redirect it 90° for takeaway. Pushers and Pullers handle most product forms with ample height sufficient to make proper contact with the diverter faceplate, and can achieve rates of up to 30 diverts per minute. Pullers accommodate tighter space restrictions. Right Angle Transfers, the most compact, are well suited for product with rigid, flat bottoms and can accomplish rates of up to 20 diverts per minute.

Line Flow Pop-Up Powered Wheel Diverters offer flexible placement and low cost solutions for low speed manufacturing and distribution requirements. Oncoming product is engaged and redirected at 30° for takeaway. This device can be installed singularly or in a multi-lane configuration and is capable of up to 50 diverts per minute based on product characteristics.
